Support Angela Drakeford's Epic Race for MOBIE

On the 18th of June, Angela of a+a property stagers will be taking on the Montane Full Summer Spine Race – that’s 270 miles up the Pennine Way in just 156 hours!

This is an unsupported race which means Angela will carry all her kit with no outside help. She will be running day and night with very little sleep (apart from the odd 15-minute bivvy nap along the side of the trail!). This is unknown territory for Angela and taking on this epic challenge will involve a very strong mindset (as well as fitness!) - she will be pushing herself to the extreme. Angela says:

“I am no athlete, just a mum who juggles work and home life and a very busy schedule. To make it happen, I needed a reason. A ‘why’ to get me through the tough challenge which lies ahead - and all the training that has lead up to it.
My ‘why’ was to run for a charity which is close to my heart – the charity I chose is MOBIE.

MOBIE is a fantastic charity inspiring young people to build the homes of the future. Young people are vital to the future of housing, and they need to play a major role in shaping the future of our homes and communities.

As an interior designer and property stager with almost 30 years’ experience, I have witnessed the growing significance of building homes that embody green principles, affordability, well-being, and exceptional living spaces. Integrating sustainability, affordability and promoting well-being as a top priority for staging and design can have a positive impact on the built environment and on occupants' physical and mental health. I strive to create spaces that maximize natural light and incorporate elements of nature to foster a sense of tranquillity and rejuvenation. Supporting MOBIE in their quest to create a generational shift, to inspire young people to deliver the homes that we want and really need, seemed the perfect match for my personal challenge. So please dig deep and really help make a difference! Every penny we raise will help our young generation to build a better future for all of us and help me reach the finish line!”
