WINNERS' VISIT TO GRIMSHAW ARCHITECTS

The winning young students of our recent Design Challenge with DEC (Design Engineer Construct) spent a day with world renowned Grimshaw Architects at their offices in Clerkenwell, London. In the morning they were given a tour of the studios and were shown some of the practice’s inspiring projects. They met with some of the diverse range of the young graduates at Grimshaw including not just architects and designers but also game designers, VR and AI coders and digital model makers. After lunch they enjoyed hands on virtual reality experiences, 3-D printing and a workshop using laser cutting model making to create a design for a community of homes. 

It was an amazing and inspirational day that thanks to the time, passion and generosity of the Grimshaw staff involved, these young designers will not forget. MOBIE is massively appreciative of this support from Grimshaw Architects.
