Capability Scotland Design Challenge 2023
Attention all designers, creators, and innovators! Capability Scotland, in partnership with MOBIE, the educational charity founded by TV presenter George Clarke, is inviting young people across Scotland to participate in a unique Design Challenge. The challenge aims to bring together young designers and people with disabilities to explore ideas and designs for an innovative 'inclusive community' to be built on the outskirts of Perth, at Bertha Park.

The challenge brief

Entering the challenge
The submission date for the Design Challenge has been extended to April 26th, 2023. This is your chance to showcase your skills and make a positive impact on the world around us.To sweeten the deal, amazing prize trophies are being made by Capability Scotland's "Studio" customers. In addition, Anderson Bell & Christie, Simple Homes, and Springfield Properties are offering work experience prizes, and there's a technology voucher worth £500 for the overall winners.
Mark your calendars for June 29th, the last day of school term, as we will be hosting an awards event with special guests including George Clarke and other fabulous people. The venue details will be announced soon, so stay tuned!
Although the Design Challenge is focused on creating more inclusive communities, responses don't have to be limited to architecture. You're encouraged to get creative and express how good design could deliver more inclusivity through better access, less traffic space, more play, meeting, and sharing facilities. Whether it's drawing, writing, or making a video, all forms of expression are welcome.
